Hello! My name is Alex, and I’m the heart and mind behind Navi.
I graduated from Brandeis University in 2019 with majors in International & Global Studies and Latin American, Caribbean, & Latinx Studies and minors in Politics and Hispanic Studies. I was the first in my family to attend college, and I was always instilled with the importance of pursuing higher education. I am based in Boston, MA where I live with my fiancé and 2 dogs. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, reading, cooking, and playing Zelda games.

About Navi
My 5+ years’ experience in education spans from English tutoring and essay help to standardized test prep, as well as curriculum development and, more prominently, college counseling. After working at an education startup during and after college, I discovered my niche passion for making higher education more accessible to high school students. The college application process gets more competitive each year, and I’ve collected insight and data through my counseling experience and industry research to help facilitate the process for applicants. College counseling is a very personal process, and I tailor my services for each student to meet their particular needs. My primary goal is to help families feel confident and supported through the process, and ensure we present the students’ absolute best self to universities to maximize their chances of ending up at the school of their dreams.
Fun Fact:
After working as a freelance college counselor for the past couple years, I decided to dedicate myself full-time to my passion and start this business. I named it after a character from the Legend of Zelda video game franchise; Navi is the protagonist’s companion, providing strategy tips and guiding him throughout his quests, just as I help my students navigate their own educational journeys.

Ultimately, each of my student’s success, self-confidence, and satisfaction is my top priority, and I want them to feel supported throughout the process.
